It has been a crazy two weeks with travel to Brisbane and Newcastle to attend three workshops. The upside is that my toolbox has just ballooned in size. Brisbane and the completion of the final workshop of the Certification as a Canine Rehabilitation Therapist has set me up with a new set of rehabilitation techniques (who knew you could do so much with a humble cardboard box).
Despite the extreme temperatures in Newcastle, we managed to expand and refine a range of chiropractic and osteopathic techniques in horses and dogs. Never one to let an opportunity go to waste, I’ll have to modify some of these equine manoevers to suit my canine patients. We finished off the week in Newcastle with a kineseo taping course and the possibilities of incorporating this into rehabilitating joints, muscles and the nervous system is exciting to say the least. Needless to say we all had a good go at taping ourselves too.
