I feel like all I’ve been doing is getting on and off planes in the last few weeks.

First up was VETFORDIA a music festival with a twist to raise funds for @Sophie’s Legacy and to support the mental health of Veterinarians and Vet Techs. Sadly, the suicide rate of Veterinarians is more than four times the national average. The fact that there is no Medicare equivalent in Veterinary clinics, makes many pet owners think that we are only ‘in it for the money’ and must be super rich. The truth is that our income is often less than train drivers and primary school teachers.

On a brighter note, I’ve just come home from the Integrative Veterinary Conferences Australia in Newcastle, focusing on the microbiome. We were very fortunate to have Dr Judy Morgan from the USA join us. Her talks on incorporating Chinese medicine theory into natural food recipes was very well received.

I’m super excited to bring all that learning from the last couple of months back to the clinic.
