The Sacroiliac leg limp

What does Lilly the young, Ragdoll cat and my mother have in common? Both of them have been limping on the left for awhile. Both have sacroiliac issues. The sacroiliac joint connects your spine to your pelvis. In Lilly’s case, she slipped a few months back. My mother slept funny and woke up with excruciating pain in her leg.

It is a common finding in many lame dogs too. It can be mistaken for or part of a cruciate /knee/back injury. Often the other problems don’t get properly better unless we deal with the sacroiliac joint injury too.

Lilly is showing us how well she can stretch after a treatment with Dr Kim. My mother is a work in progress…
